Bleskovka: DAVID FINCHER, vdechne život pokračování Světové války Z!

Pokud pravidelně sledujete internet, mohli jste v posledních několika hodinách zachytit výbornou zprávu. Vypadá to, že se film Světová válka Z dočká tolik odkládaného a zavrhovaného pokračování. Původní snímek byl vydán jž v roce 2013 a vznikl na námět stejnojmenné novely od Maxe Brookse. Režisér Marc Foster a studio Paramount vnímalo snímek jako první díl trilogie. Chtěli dát této sérii realismus Jasona Bourna se špetkou The Walking Dead. Pokračování mělo původně stanovené datum premiéry na červen 2017. Nicméně již o rok dříve bylo toto datum zrušeno a projekt se odložil na neurčito. V jednu chvíli to vypadalo, že pokračování nikdy nevznikne. Nicméně zde byla alespoň jedna jiskra naděje. Od srpna loňského roku, probíhalo vyjednávání s Davidem Fincherem. O jeho účast měl velký zájem i sám Brad Pitt, který s ním v minulosti spolupracoval na třech snímcích (Sedm, Klub rváčů a Podivuhodný příběh Benjamina Buttona)

Zahraniční servery dnes přišli se zprávou, že jednání jsou u konce a David Fincher se stal oficiálním režisérem tohoto projektu. Fincher se v minulosti držel od pokračování raději stranou, po zkušenostech s přípravou Vetřelce 3. Sám však prohlásil, že vždy vyslyší slova Pitta a jeho návrh na spolupráci. Dalším velkým faktorem byl nově zvolený předseda a generální ředitel studia Paramount, Jim Gianopulos. Ten sice ještě celému projektu nedal pověstnou zelenou, ale dle věrohodných zdrojů tomu tak učiní v následujících týdnech. Zdroje dále uvádějí, že by produkce mohla začít v prvním kvartálu roku 2018.

Není prozatím známo, zda se film bude držet původní vize, nebo se Fincher pokusí o něco zcela nového. Co se hereckého obsazení týče, tak je momentálně jistý jen návrat Breda Pitta. Další oznámení můžeme očekávat v následujících měsících. Prozatím je čas na to, abychom si všichni prostřednictvím našich DVD či Blu-ray kopií, připomněli původní snímek. Za sebe mohu říct, že jsem s tímto vývojem celé situace více než spokojen. Světová válka Z si možná nezískala tolik popularity, se kterou studio počítalo. Nicméně, se jedná o velice povedený zombie film. Kdo ho již nemá ve své sbírce, či ho dokonce neviděl, měl by to rychle napravit. David Fincher v minulosti svůj talent dokázal již mnohokrát a spoustu jeho snímků řadíme mezi nesmrtelné klasiky.

DAVID FINCHER, will breathe life into the continuation of the World War Z!

If you regularly watch the internet, you could catch a great news in the last few hours. It looks like that the so much delayed and rejected World War Z sequel is on the right path again. The original film was released in 2013 and was based on Max Brooks' novel of the same name. Director Marc Foster and the Paramount Pictures perceived the film as the first part of the trilogy. They wanted to give this series realism of Jason Bourne with a pinch of The Walking Dead. The continuation was originally scheduled for June 2017. However, a year earlier, this date was canceled and the project postponed indefinitely.

At one point it seemed that the sequel would never arise. However, there was at least one spark of hope. Since August of last year, negotiations have been ongoing with David Fincher. Main star of the first movie Brad Pitt played a huge role in this negotiation. He had previously collaborated with Fincher on three films (Sev7n, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). Today, online servers came up with news that the negotiations are over and David Fincher became the official director of this project. In the past, Fincher had stayed away from sequels, after the bad experience with the preparation of the third Alien. However, he said he we always listen to Pitt and will gladly work with him again.

Another major factor was the newly elected chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, Jim Gianopulos. Although he did not give the whole project a prominent green light, he will do so in the coming weeks, according to credible sources. The sources also state that the production could begin in the first quarter of 2018. It is not yet known whether the film will hold the original vision, or Fincher will try something completely new. As far as the cast is concerned, Brad Pitt's return is now certain. Further announcements can be expected in the coming months. So far, it's time for everyone to go back to their DVD or Blu-ray copies.

For myself, I can say that I am more than satisfied with this development. World War Z may not have been so popular with the studio. However, this is a very good zombie movie. Whoever does not already have it in his collection, or even did not see it, should fix it quickly. In the past, David Fincher has proved his talent many times, and many of his films are among immortal classics.
